OVP Year-End Report Highlights Services, Integrity, and Resilience in 2025

The Office of the Vice President released its Year-End Report for 2025, summarizing the accomplishments, public services, and reform initiatives carried out throughout the year despite budget constraints, disaster emergencies, and national challenges.

 

In a recorded address, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte emphasized gratitude, accountability, and continuity of service, expressing appreciation to partner agencies, local officials, volunteers, and communities nationwide.

Sustained Social Services Despite Budget Cuts

 

Despite losing government funding for social services this year, the OVP continued operations by tapping partnerships and alternative funding sources.

  • 4,643 Filipinos received medical assistance
  • 1,377 families received burial assistance

Disaster Relief and Emergency Response

The OVP remained on the frontlines of natural disaster response through its Disaster Operations Center and nationwide satellite offices.

 

  • 73,054 families received disaster relief
  • 9,129 families benefited from donated relief items
  • 2,514 bags of 25-kilo rice distributed in Cebu (6.9 earthquake) and Negros (Kanlaon eruption)
  • 56,575 rice and food packs distributed under the RIICE Program
  • 1,866 rescuers, volunteers, and frontliners served through the Kalusugan Food Truck

VP Duterte personally led relief activities in Negros Occidental and Cebu after Typhoons Tino and Uwan.

PagbaBAGo: One Million Learners & One Million Trees

The OVP surpassed its environmental and educational targets ahead of schedule:

  • Over 1 million trees planted nationwide in just three years

  • 460,272 school bags delivered to learners, including indigenous Obu Manuvu students in Kidapawan City

A milestone planting at Mt. Apo marked the one-millionth tree.

Economic Empowerment for Women Entrepreneurs

 

Through Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day, the OVP supported:

  • 15 community groups

  • 2,245 aspiring entrepreneurs

The program continues to empower families by building sustainable livelihoods.

Libreng Sakay Program Expansion

 

The free transportation service eased the burden of rising fares and high cost of living for workers, students, and families.

 

  • 875,176 commuters served from January to October

  • Program expanded to Tacloban City.

Accountability, Transparency, and Digital Governance

The OVP received top honors for performance, efficiency, and fiscal integrity:

 

  • Special Citation from the Development Academy of the Philippines for its paperless digital initiative.
    3.2 million sheets of paper saved

  • Unqualified Opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA)
    – The highest audit rating recognizing fairness, transparency, and clean financial records

VP Duterte reaffirmed her stand against corruption and misuse of public funds:

“Patuloy tayong lalaban sa kasakiman ng mga iilang mataas na opisyal ng ating pamahalaan.”

 

She expressed holiday wishes on behalf of the whole OVP while urging continued unity, preparedness, and love for country.
